OpenShift Storage and Virtulization

Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage is a provider of agnostic persistent storage for OpenShift Container Platform supporting file, block, and object storage, either in-house or in hybrid clouds.

Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization is an add-on to Red Hat Openshift Container Platform that allows you to run and manage virtual machine workloads alongside container workloads.

DO316 & DO370

Teaches the essential skills required to design, implement, and manage a Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation cluster and perform day-to-day Kubernetes storage management tasks.

Create and manage virtual machines on OpenShift using the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization operator.

Objectives

Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage is software-defined storage integrated with and optimized for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. OpenShift Container Storage 4.2 is built on Red Hat Ceph® Storage, Rook, and NooBaa to provide container native storage services that support block, file, and object

Red Hat® OpenShift® Virtualization is a feature of Red Hat OpenShift that allows you to run and manage virtual machine (VM) and container workloads side by side.

Course contents

Traditional storage options available to Kubernetes administrators are limited and lack flexibility and/or versatility. Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation provides real advantages, even when it is backed by cloud storage such as AWS EBS and sophisticated on-prem legacy storage like SAN arrays. Many companies rely on third-party solutions to manage backup and disaster recovery in production. However, proper planning to implement these solutions requires knowledge of the Kubernetes CSI and OAPD APIs. This course walks the student through the recommended steps of configuring and managing storage services for container and Kubernetes services.

Managing Virtual Machines with OpenShift Virtualization teaches the essential skills required to create and manage virtual machines (VM) on OpenShift using the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization operator. This course does not require previous knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.

students say...

Very recently I have completed RHCSA and RHCE training at FORSCHER Education. Trainer (Anto sir) is having lot of experience in this field. I'm impressed with the way he is taking the class. I never get bored when attending the class. At the same time I learned lot of things from him. He never tired to explain our doubts 😊 Thanks to everyone 🤗 I strongly prefer to go and get the training if you are planning to improve yourself in this field.
